Clue: Midlands Edition

My not taking notes in anything mock trial related comes back to haunt me.

Hit the jump for all the cards, rules, and story.

Clue: Midlands Edition follows the same rules as regular Clue with some minor changes.
  • All the suspects, weapons, and locations have changed.
  • (Optional) Questioning works the same, except if you have a contradictory card, you must say "OBJECTION"
The Story:
The Prognosticator is dead. His body was found stuffed in a box filled with Princess Beads, which was within a muddy duffel bag, wrapped in Blitz News Network transcripts. Realizing this was some kind of message, the Polk County Police Department gathered the greatest detectives Midlands had to offer: Detective McDonald, Dr. Lee, and...Officer Matthews. These three decided that, rather than actually go out and solve the case, they would send out the five most likely suspects on a wild goose chase around Midlands (with proper police escort, of course) to find out who killed the Prognosticator, with what weapon, and where.
However, because five is a "weird, awkward number in the eyes of the police department" as described by McDonald, the Detective took it upon himself to pull the completely innocent Bobbi Campbell into this big hoopla. "She definitely didn't do it. Unless she did. Then she probably did it," replied McDonald.
Dr. Lee took it upon herself to try and narrow down the murder weapon...to eight choices. Which she pared down to six because three of those weapons were all Berettas and deemed "close enough."
Officer Matthews was charged with finding some locations where this murder could have taken place. She was given this task mainly because she couldn't simply ask the locations if they were "doing other things" and had to actually do some police work.

And with all the pieces in place, the game was on. (By the way, does anyone else think that the premise of Clue is kind of weird? I mean, one of the players IS the murderer. You'd think he'd get the heck out of there before people figured it out, not play this sick and twisted game...whatever)

The Suspects:
You get to play as one of these nefarious characters. Each is a terrible person in some shape or form. Except Campbell, she was just defending her child.

 The Weapons:
Gathered here are the most insidious weapons known to Midlands in the past four years. Except AIDS, that was purely an accident.

The Locations:

All of these locations have been tied to a major crime. Some locations provided a planning area (like Trifecta Studios), while some are where the crime actually took place (like Sunset Vista...wait, Calkins Cliffs...no, the Marina, definitely the Marina). Except New Hope Fellowship Church. That was a place of healing.

If you want the word file click here. When printed, the cards should be able to fit on standard 3x5 index cards cut in half.
